ABOUT US
Petite Prints was founded in the Spring of 2004. A Graphic
Designer and mother of three, I began my career as a designer
at the Art Institute of Chicago. Working at the museum was
a dream, and a great introduction to producing high quality
design with an emphasis on good typography. My next job was
in Rhode Island, in the design department of Brown University.
Again the emphasis of our work was on producing high quality,
beautifully readable and well-organized design for the University.
I took some time off to stay home with my kids, but kept
my design and computer skills honed by making stationery and
greeting cards for family and friends. Then, when it was time
to consider my next career move, I went back to my roots and
enrolled in classical drawing classes at Rhode Island School
of Design (RISD). While I longed to draw portraits like Degas,
I soon realized that I needed a more realistic career goal.
So I decided to combine my love of silhouettes and classical
portraiture with my experience in and knowledge of design.
I taught myself to produce an accurate, artful silhouette,
and Petite Prints was born. Now you can order truly custom
stationery for yourself and your family - and don’t
forget your pets!
