Some answers to frequently asked questions below:
What
should the photo look like?
To get started, just stand your subject in profile (facing
right or left) against a neutral background. No Smiles! Just
try for a relaxed, natural expression.
How should we wear our hair?
We recommend your everyday style, but strongly suggest that
long hair (past neckline) is pulled up. Buns, messy-buns,
ponytails, braids or a headband, will make a better silhouette.
What should we wear?
While clothing is not important, a t-shirt neckline
will give the best results.
Should we sit or stand?
Subjects should STAND to create a natural posture
and neckline.
Where
should we take the photo? What should the background be?
Either outside in daylight or inside in a well-lit
room. A light, neutral background is best.
How do I order?
We offer two methods of payment. To pay by mail,
just download and print our order
form, and mail it with a check or money order (payable
to Petite Prints), along with your photos, to P.O.Box 507,
Barrington, RI 02806. Or, you may order
online using PayPal, and email or mail your photos.
Should photos be prints or digital? Where do I send
my photos?
Photos may be prints or digital. Be sure to label
each photo with your child's name. Email
photos to Susie at susie@petiteprints.com.

I want this to be a surprise gift. Can I look for
photos that have profiles of the family?
In some cases, found photos may be used. However, we find
that candid profiles are rarely good photos, and so the quality
of silhouette may suffer. If you'd like to give Petite Prints
as a gift but can't take a photo, consider our gift certificates.
I took a lot of photos, how do I know which one
to send?
If unsure, feel free to include extra photos. Otherwise,
use your best judgment and choose the photo that looks the
most like the subject.
How long will it take to receive my stationery?
Petite Prints will put your order in line as soon
as we have payment and photos. We also require you proofread
your order before it is printed. Usually, the whole process
takes a couple of weeks and does not include mailing time.

What is your cancellation policy?
Petite Prints takes customer satisfaction seriously,
so we have designed a system to ensure your complete satisfaction.
First, if we feel your photos will not yield a good silhouette,
we will let you know before we begin work. You then have the
option of canceling your order, continuing your order, or
sending another set of photos using our suggestions. Secondly,
before your order is printed, we will email a proof to you
to approve. Changes and corrections to text, color and typestyle
may be made at this time. Because our silhouette design is
virtually foolproof, and we strive to produce perfect products,
after we begin work on your order, we will not accept cancellations.
